Privacy
Controller
Léandre Carrera, Switzerland, is responsible for the data collected by brievora.com. Contact: hello [at] brievora.com, or the contact form.
The Brievora vault runs on your computer. It has no account and sends us nothing: we never see your notes or your clients’ data. We sell no data and show no ads.
Purchase
You pay on the checkout page of Link, Stripe’s payment service, which sells Brievora as merchant of record. Your card details stay with Stripe and Link: we never receive them. Stripe sends us your email address, the license you bought, the amount, the currency and the language you chose. We also note where the order came from (the site or campaign that brought you, read from the address of the page you landed on), to see which posts and ads lead to sales. We keep them to send your download links, send you new ones, email you about each new version (one-click unsubscribe) and answer your questions, for as long as you use the license and at most 10 years after the purchase. Link processes the payment under its own privacy policy.
Brievora Lite
To get Lite, you give your email address and tick a consent box. We keep the address, the language, the date and the text you agreed to. Nothing is sent to you until you confirm your address from the confirmation email: you open its link, then click the button on the page (double opt-in). After that, you get a few getting-started emails, including one presenting the full version, then one email each time a new version of Lite ships. Each one has a “Manage my emails” link to a page where you choose which of these emails you receive, or stop them all. Your mail app’s unsubscribe button stops all these emails in one click, the newsletter included.
An unconfirmed request is deleted after 30 days. After you unsubscribe, we stop writing to you and keep the proof of your consent for at most 3 years.
Newsletter
The newsletter is optional: you sign up by ticking its box on the checkout page or on the Lite form. It brings tips for Brievora, news and offers. We keep your address, your language, the date, the page where you ticked the box and the exact text you agreed to. For Lite, the sign-up only counts after the double opt-in.
Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link, which does not affect new-version announcements. After you unsubscribe, we stop sending it and keep the proof of your consent for at most 3 years.
Group emails (newsletter and new-version announcements) are sent from Resend. Your address is stored there as a contact, with your language, your edition (Lite or purchased license) and your subscription choices.
The “Manage my emails” page shows only the emails we send you. The link to this page holds a random code. Your address is not in it. We note the date of your last change. Emails about a purchase, or with download links you ask for, are part of the service and still arrive.
Brief generator
The client brief generator (free resources) runs entirely in your browser: your answers, the note and the PDF never reach our servers. So that you lose nothing when you reload the page, your answers stay in your browser’s local storage, on your device, until you click “Clear everything” or clear the site’s data.
Contact form
The contact form is provided by Tally (Belgium). It collects your email, your name if you give it, the subject and your message, then forwards them to us by email. We keep them while we exchange, then for at most 2 years.
Analytics
If you click “Accept all” in the banner, or turn on audience measurement under “Customize”, the site loads Google Analytics 4. It measures pages viewed, clicks on purchase and download buttons, film playback and purchases, with your country and device type. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, and Google keeps this data for 14 months. If you click “Reject all”, nothing is sent to Google and nothing is measured, not even anonymously. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal and do not show the banner. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
To prove your choice, we keep an anonymous record: a random identifier stored in your cookie, the version of the banner, your choice, where you made it (banner or settings), the language and the date. It contains no IP address and no browser details, and we delete it after 13 months.
Cookies
brievora_consent: your choice in the banner, with its date, the banner version and a random identifier, 6 months. We ask again when the banner changes.currencyandlang: the currency and language you chose, 1 year.- Session cookie (checkout and new-link pages): protects the forms, deleted when you close the browser.
_gaand_ga_…: Google Analytics, only after “Accept”, up to 2 years.
The first four are needed for the site to work and do not require consent.
Security and logs
To block abuse, we count form submissions per IP address and per email address, in an encrypted form that cannot be traced back, deleted after 48 hours. We also record the date and edition of each download, without IP address, and keep these records and the site’s technical log for at most 12 months. The host and Cloudflare process your IP address to serve and protect the site.
