Frequently asked questions

What is a client brief?

The document that sets out what the client expects before a project starts: goals, audience, scope, content, budget, timeline and who decides. It is the basis for your quote, then the reference when a request goes beyond the scope.

When should I send it?

Before you quote. Fill it in during the kickoff call, or email the questions with the button on this page and copy the answers here.

Do I need Obsidian?

No. The PDF can be shared as it is. The Markdown note opens in Obsidian, and in Brievora it is filed with its project.

In Brievora, the brief is linked to its project and client, and the Briefs view shows the ones still waiting for an answer. See Brievora
